Storm Damage

Last fall’s storms wreaked a bit of havok on trees all over Connecticut, including this old magnolia. This picture is from my yard, taken March 24, 2012. The October snow storm really broke a lot of branches but the tree will be a survivor. We pruned out the stubs and it should fill in its canopy in a few years. On a seasonal note, realize that this tree is in full bloom on March 25!
